Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. Every PDF tool on this page reads and rewrites your file locally in the browser using PDF.js and pdf-lib. Your document is never sent to Toolbeel or any third party.

Can these tools edit a password-protected PDF?
You need the existing password. Unlock PDF removes it once entered correctly; the other editing tools require the file to be unlocked first.

There's no artificial cap, but since processing happens on your device, very large PDFs (hundreds of pages or heavy embedded images) take longer and use more memory than on a typical desktop browser.
