Example
Say you're pulling diagrams out of a technical PDF to drop into a slide deck, and you want lossless images rather than JPGs that might blur fine lines. Drop the PDF in, pick a resolution, and click Convert to PNG — every page is rendered separately, and unlike the JPG converter there's no quality slider to set, since PNG output is always lossless.
Once every page has converted, "Download All (ZIP)" fetches each rendered page and packages them into a single file named after your PDF (for example, report-pages.zip) using a client-side ZIP library, rather than triggering a dozen separate downloads the way PDF to JPG does — useful when you want one file to move or archive rather than a folder full of individual images.
Tips
- There's no quality control here because PNG is lossless — every page is saved at full fidelity, which also means PNG files run larger than the equivalent JPG, especially at High resolution on text-heavy pages.
- Standard resolution renders at roughly double the PDF's base size and High at roughly quadruple — the higher the scale, the sharper thin lines and small text look if you zoom into the PNG, at the cost of a bigger file.
- "Download All (ZIP)" builds one .zip file client-side from all converted pages — if you'd rather grab pages one at a time, each page card also has its own individual Download link.
- Pages are rendered onto a white background before saving, so if the original PDF has any transparent overlays, they'll show up as solid white rather than transparent in the PNG.
