Example: matching a regional paper standard
A common case: you have a document formatted for US Letter but a form or authority elsewhere requires A4. Choose A4 as the target size, leave orientation on Auto, and convert — each page is rebuilt at A4 dimensions with the original Letter-sized content scaled down slightly and centered, so nothing at the edges gets cropped.
Things to know
- Conversion embeds each original page as a single unit and scales it uniformly to fit inside the new page size — it doesn't just change the page's boundary while leaving content at its original size, so nothing spills outside the new page edges.
- The scale factor is chosen so the entire original page fits inside the new one; if the two page shapes don't match, you'll see blank margin on two opposite sides rather than cropped content.
- Custom sizes accept values from 10mm to 2000mm per side — useful for non-standard formats like receipts or large-format posters, not just office paper sizes.
- With Orientation set to Auto on a document that mixes portrait and landscape pages, the output can end up with different page shapes across the file, since each page is matched to its own original orientation independently.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my content be stretched or distorted?
No. Each page's content is scaled proportionally to fit the new page size and centered, so its original aspect ratio is preserved. If the new page has a different shape, you'll see some empty margin rather than distorted content.
Does changing orientation rotate my content?
No. Choosing Portrait or Landscape changes the shape of the new page, but the content itself keeps its original orientation and is scaled to fit inside that page.
Can I set a custom page size?
Yes. Choose Custom and enter a width and height in millimeters.
Is there a page limit?
You can convert PDFs up to 50MB. Only the first 300 pages are converted for very long documents.
