What is Reorder PDF Pages?
Reorder PDF Pages lets you rearrange the pages of a PDF into a new sequence and save the result as a new file, without touching the original page quality. It's useful for fixing a scan that came out in the wrong order, or moving a section to a different place in a report.
How to use Reorder PDF Pages
- Choose a PDF file, or drag and drop it into the tool.
- Drag pages into the order you want, or use the up and down buttons.
- Click Save New Order, then download the rearranged PDF.

When to use this
A common case is a scanned fax or a duplex scan that came through back-to-front, or a report where the appendix needs to move from the middle to the end. Drag the last page's thumbnail up to the front (or, on a touchscreen, use the ↑ button repeatedly instead of dragging), watching the "New order" summary and position numbers update. Click Save New Order to rebuild the PDF in the sequence shown, then download it.
Tips for reordering pages
- Drag-and-drop and the up/down buttons control the exact same order — use whichever is easier on your device; the arrow buttons are the more reliable choice on touch screens.
- Reset Order snaps every page back to its original 1, 2, 3… sequence in one click, useful if a drag went wrong.
- Save New Order stays disabled until the order actually differs from the original, so there's no risk of "saving" a no-op change.
- Page thumbnails are cached by their original page number, so scrolling through a long document after reordering doesn't re-render them from scratch.
Is Reorder PDF Pages safe?
Yes. The page order you drag or arrow into place is only held in the browser tab's memory until you click Save New Order, at which point pdf-lib copies the pages locally in that sequence — your file never leaves your device.
